Product Description

The CURT 1-7/8 trailer ball is a top - notch towing accessory. Made from high - strength hot - forged steel, it's designed to pair perfectly with class 1 or class 2 trailer hitches and ball mounts. Its shank has fine threads, giving it excellent holding strength. This chrome - plated trailer ball fits 1 - 7/8 couplers and can handle up to 2,000 lbs GTW. It can tow various trailers like utility trailers, boat trailers, campers, smaller livestock trailers, and some recreational vehicle haulers. With a 3/4 shank diameter, 1 - 5/8 shank length, 0 rise, and a nickel - chrome finish that resists corrosion and wear, it's both durable and reliable. The zinc - plated hex nut and helical lock washer ensure a secure mount. It's been safety - tested to meet U.S. VESC V - 5 specifications and comes with a limited lifetime warranty (one - year finish, one - year parts). Note: The mounting platform should be at least 3/8 in. thick, and the hole diameter shouldn't be more than 1/16 in. larger than the threaded shank. Always check that your towing equipment can handle the load before hitching up.

Using this CURT trailer ball is easy. First, make sure your mounting platform is at least 3/8 inches thick and the hole size isn't more than 1/16 inch larger in diameter than the threaded shank. Then, attach the ball to your hitch using the zinc - plated hex nut and helical lock washer. Tighten it to the recommended torque of 160 ft. lb. Before you start towing, double - check that your vehicle, hitch, and trailer can handle the load, and never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component. To keep your trailer ball in good condition, regularly clean it with a mild soap and water solution. After cleaning, dry it thoroughly to prevent corrosion. If you notice any signs of wear or damage, like a chipped finish or loose threads, replace the ball right away. This will ensure your safety on the road and the longevity of your trailer ball.
