This stinger comes pre-equipped with all essential towing components and a factory-torqued trailer ball, so you don't have to worry about mounting and torquing the ball yourself. Just take it out of the box, and it's ready to tow! It also includes a pin and clip for easy mounting into the right-size receiver tube. CURT offers these loaded ball mounts in various styles and weight ratings. This particular ball mount can handle a gross trailer weight of 7,500 lbs and a tongue weight of 750 lbs. With a 2-5/16 trailer ball, it's great for towing most boat, utility, camper, livestock, and recreational vehicle trailers. Remember, never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing part. It has an 8-1/4 length and a 2 drop, and a gloss black powder coat finish to prevent rust, chipping, and UV damage. Using your CURT loaded ball mount is easy. First, make sure your vehicle's receiver tube size is 2 x 2. Insert the ball mount into the receiver tube and secure it with the provided 5/8 hitch pin and clip. Check that the trailer ball, which has a 2-5/16 diameter, is properly attached. When towing, always double - check the weight of your trailer. Never exceed the 7,500 lbs gross trailer weight or 750 lbs tongue weight. Make sure to level your trailer using the 2 drop feature for a smooth ride. For maintenance, regularly inspect the ball mount for any signs of rust, chipping, or damage. Clean it with a mild soap and water solution. The gloss black powder coat finish and polished chrome - plated trailer ball help protect against rust and other environmental damage, but if you notice any issues, contact CURT for support.
