Using the CURT Towing Starter Kit is easy. First, make sure your trailer hitch has a 1-1/4' x 1-1/4' receiver tube opening. Insert the ball mount into the hitch and secure it with the included hitch pin and clip. The pin's grooved end allows you to insert the clip at any angle, and the 105-degree bend makes it easy to handle. Attach the 2' trailer ball to the ball mount - it's pre-torqued for you. When towing, keep in mind the weight limits. The kit can handle a gross trailer weight of 3500 lbs and a tongue weight of 350 lbs, but this may change if the trailer ball is removed. For maintenance, regularly check the ball mount and hitch pin for any signs of wear or damage. Clean the ball mount with a mild detergent and water, and dry it thoroughly to prevent rust. The powder coat finish on the ball mount and the chrome-plated finish on the trailer ball offer some protection, but it's still important to take care of them. If you have any issues, refer to the limited lifetime warranty (one-year finish, one-year parts) for support.
