Using your Cannon Optimum 10 TS BT Electric Downrigger is a piece of cake. First, set it up on your boat using the included mounting base and swivel base. Make sure it's firmly attached. Then, connect it to your power source. You can control it in several ways: use the full - color LCD display on the downrigger, connect it to your Humminbird® fish finder, or use the Cannon® app on your mobile device. When you're fishing, take advantage of the features. If you see fish at a certain depth, use the depth cycling feature to move your weights up and down at preset intervals in the strike zone. The preset depths function is great for quickly putting your bait back in the same spot after a catch. The bottom tracking feature will keep your bait at a set distance from the bottom automatically. To maintain your downrigger, after each use, rinse it with fresh water to remove salt and debris. This helps prevent corrosion, especially since it has a corrosion - resistant construction.
