Blue Sea 3000 600A Battery Selector Switch: On-Off with Alternator Field Disconnect
Model: 3001-BSS
This switch features tin-plated copper studs for top conductivity and corrosion resistance. It can accept up to 4/0 AWG battery cables and 1/2' (M12) ring terminals. With a 7/8' (22mm) stud length, it can hold multiple cable terminals. The one-piece terminal stud design by Blue Sea Systems won't loosen over time. It fits most Perko and Guest low amperage battery switch hole patterns. The case design offers surface, rear, or front panel mounting options. A tactile indicator helps you feel the knob position. It's waterproof (rated IP66 against powerful water jets) and ignition protected, safe for gasoline-powered boats. It also includes AFD (Alternator Field Disconnect).

Using this Blue Sea battery switch is easy. First, make sure to choose the right mounting option - you can mount it on the surface, rear, or front panel according to your needs. Connect the battery cables, making sure they are the right size (up to 4/0 AWG) and quantity (two cables). Tighten the terminal studs to the recommended torque of 220 in-lb (24.86 Nm). When using, you can easily tell the knob position by feel thanks to the tactile indicator. For safety, remember this switch is ignition protected, but it's still important to follow proper installation procedures, especially if you're using it on a gasoline-powered boat. As for maintenance, since it's waterproof (rated IP66), it can withstand powerful water jets. However, it's a good idea to check the terminal studs periodically to make sure they haven't loosened over time. Keep the switch clean and dry for optimal performance.
