Product Description

Blue Sea Systems presents the 250A MaxiBus BusBar, model 2128-BSS. It features insert molded stainless steel studs that ditch the need for a securing nut and enable high torquing for top - notch electrical contact. The raised bus makes it a breeze to connect multiple wires to a single stud. Its UL 94 - V0 rated base material stands up well to high heat. Recessed mounting holes prevent accidental shorts on aluminum and steel mounting surfaces. Specifications include a max voltage of 300V AC and 48V DC, 6 screw terminals, 2 terminal studs, #10 - 24 screw and 5/16 - 18 stud terminal types, a 250A continuous rating. The base is made of UL 94 - V0 rated glass - reinforced thermoplastics, and the bus is tin - plated copper CDA 110 / UNS 11000. Recommended screw torque is 23 in - lb (2.6 N m) and stud torque is 132 in - lb (14.91 N m).

Using this Blue Sea MaxiBus BusBar is straightforward. First, make sure your working area is clean and dry. When connecting wires, use the recommended screw and stud torques (23 in - lb for screws and 132 in - lb for studs) to ensure a good electrical connection. The raised bus design allows you to easily attach multiple wires to a single stud. Be careful while mounting it. The recessed mounting holes are there to prevent accidental shorts, so make sure to align the busbar properly on aluminum or steel surfaces. For maintenance, keep it away from excessive heat as the UL 94 - V0 rated base material resists high heat but extreme conditions can still cause damage. Periodically check the connections to ensure they remain tight and there are no signs of corrosion. If you notice any issues with the electrical contact or the busbar itself, it's best to replace it.
