Product Description

The Furuno 520T-BLD is a low-profile bronze thru-hull depth and temperature transducer. It has a 10-pin connector and a 30-foot cable. This transducer offers both depth and temperature measurements. With 600 W power, it has two frequencies. The 50 kHz frequency has a wide 45° beamwidth for performance up to 353 m (1,200'), while the 200 kHz frequency has a 12° beamwidth for performance up to 206 m (700'). The right-angle cable exit saves space and protects the transducer if stepped on. The included rubber washer allows the hull nut to be tightened on irregular hull surfaces. Its low-profile bronze housing has minimal drag. There are also plastic P319 and stainless steel SS60 models available for all hull materials and deadrise angles. Specifications: Weight is 0.9 kg (2.0 lb.), recommended boat length is up to 8 m (25'), hull material can be fiberglass or wood, best hull deadrise is 7° and can accommodate up to 12°, acoustic window is urethane, and hole diameter is 51 mm (2').

Using the Furuno 520T-BLD transducer is easy. First, choose the right model according to your hull material and deadrise angle. Install it in a 51 mm (2') hole on your boat's hull. Tighten the hull nut using the included rubber washer, which helps fit irregular hull surfaces. The right-angle cable exit is designed to save space, so make sure it's installed properly. When using, it will measure both depth and temperature for you. You can choose between the 50 kHz frequency for wider coverage up to 353 m (1,200') or the 200 kHz frequency for more precise measurements up to 206 m (700'). For maintenance, keep the transducer clean. Check the cable regularly for any signs of damage. If you step on the transducer accidentally, the right-angle cable exit should protect it, but still check for any issues. It's suitable for boats up to 8 m (25') in length, and works best with a hull deadrise of 7°, though it can handle up to 12°.
