Using this Faria tachometer is easy. First, connect it to +12VDC, ground, and one of the signal sources like the ignition system or alternator. Then, select the right tach and set the switch on the back to the correct position so it knows how many pulses are sent per engine revolution. When you start your Johnson or Evinrude outboard engine, the tachometer will show the RPM. Keep an eye on the warning lights on the dial. If you see a warning for no oil, engine overheat, check engine, or low oil, stop using the engine right away and check for problems. For maintenance, make sure to keep the anti - scratch glass lens clean. You can use a soft cloth to wipe it gently. Also, check the connections regularly to ensure they are tight. Remember, this product can't be returned to the original place of purchase. If you have any issues, contact the manufacturer directly.
