Product Description

Blue Sea Systems presents the 187-Series 80A Circuit Breaker, model 7042-BSS. It combines switching and circuit protection in one device. With a clear single-lever operation, it's easy to use. The 'Trip Free' design ensures safety during fault current conditions. It's waterproof and has recessed mounting holes for a clean look. The large clearance around terminal studs can accept heavy gauge wire lugs, and the robust 5/16 M8 terminals provide high torque connections. The large lever, with vertical/horizontal orientation, shows the trip status. It's ignition protected, making it safe for gasoline-powered boats. Note: Don't use it as a switch for high inrush currents. Using the Blue Sea 187-Series 80A Circuit Breaker is straightforward. Just operate the single lever to turn the circuit on or off. It's designed to protect your circuit from overcurrents. Remember, don't use it as a switch when there are high inrush currents. When installing, make sure to use #10 (M5) screws for the mounting holes. The terminals can handle heavy gauge wire lugs, so choose the right ones for your application. Keep an eye on the lever to check the trip status. In terms of maintenance, since it's waterproof, it can withstand some wet conditions. But try to keep it clean and free from debris. If it trips, reset it manually. It can operate in temperatures from -40° C to 85° C, so make sure your operating environment is within this range.
