Product Description

The Blue Sea Systems m-Series Automatic Charging Relay, model 7601-BSS, is a must - have for your boating needs. It can sense charging on two battery banks, and comes with an easy - to - use insulating cover that you can simply pull off and snap on. An LED clearly indicates the ACR status. There's a 1 4' x.032' male quick connect terminal for ground. This Mini Automatic Charging Relay (M - ACR) manages charging current from alternators up to 65 Amps on most outboards and many inboard engines. The Start Isolation (SI) feature protects sensitive electronics by isolating house loads during engine cranking, avoiding voltage sags and spikes. With a compact design, it offers three mounting styles: surface, rear, or panel mount. It's also available as a module in a Custom 360 Panel. Specifications include a nominal voltage of 12V or 24V DC, a continuous rating of 65A, and an intermittent rating of 115A for 5 minutes. The terminal stud torque is 60 in - lb (6.78 Nm), and it has various other great features.

Using this Blue Sea m - Series Automatic Charging Relay is quite simple. First, connect it to your battery banks as per the specified terminal connections. Make sure to use the appropriate cable size (6 AWG to meet ratings, maximum 1/0 AWG). When the relay senses charging on the battery banks, the LED will show the ACR status. During engine cranking, the Start Isolation feature will automatically protect your sensitive electronics. As for mounting, you can choose from surface, rear, or panel mount based on your setup. When it comes to maintenance, regularly check the terminal stud torque (should be 60 in - lb or 6.78 Nm) to ensure a good connection. Avoid exposing the relay to extreme temperatures or wet conditions. If the LED shows an abnormal status, check the battery banks and connections. Also, keep an eye on the under - voltage lockout at 9.5V to prevent any issues with the relay's operation.
