Product Description
Blue Sea Systems presents this single-circuit ON-OFF battery switch in sleek black, complete with a locking key. Model 6004200-BSS offers top-notch features. Its tin-plated copper studs provide maximum conductivity and resist corrosion. These 3/8' (M10) studs can accept ring terminals, and the 7/8' (22mm) length fits multiple cable terminals. The one-piece terminal stud design stays tight over time. An isolating cover with three snap-in side pieces protects rear contacts and lets you access wires from any direction. The case design offers surface, rear, or front panel mounting options. It's waterproof (rated IP66 against powerful water jets). One-piece stainless flange nuts ensure safe connections, and breakout tabs allow wire access from all sides. With a 300 Amps continuous rating, it's great for outboards and small gasoline or diesel engines. Specifications: Switch Type - Single Circuit ON-OFF, Color - Black, Maximum Voltage - 48V DC, Stud Size - 3/8', Continuous Rating - 300A, Intermittent Rating - 500A, Cranking Rating 30 sec - 900A, Stud Material - Tinned Copper, Stud Torque - 120 in-lb (13.56 Nm).
Using this Blue Sea battery switch is easy. First, choose the right mounting option - you can mount it on the surface, rear, or front panel according to your needs. Then, connect the wires to the 3/8' studs. Make sure to tighten the studs to the recommended torque of 120 in-lb (13.56 Nm) for a secure connection. The locking key can be used to prevent accidental on/off switches. When it comes to maintenance, keep the switch clean and dry. Since it's waterproof, it can handle water jets, but try to avoid long - term submersion. Check the connections regularly to ensure they haven't loosened over time. If you notice any signs of corrosion on the tin - plated copper studs, clean them gently. This switch is rated for 300 Amps continuous use, so don't overload it. It's suitable for outboards and small gasoline or diesel engines, so use it within its specified ratings for best performance.
