Product Description

The Furuno 526TID-LTD20 is a top - notch bronze thru - hull, low - profile transducer with temperature sensor and a 1kW power rating. It features a 20° tilted element, just like the Airmar B164 housing style. This transducer is perfect for hulls with a deadrise angle between 16° and 24°. The tilted element inside the housing compensates for the deadrise. There's an arrow on the top of the housing that should point towards the keel, whether it's installed on the port or starboard side to ensure correct orientation. It has beam angles of 20 and 6 degrees, frequencies of 50 and 200 kHz, and is easy to install as a thru - hull type. It weighs 12 lbs and has dimensions of 10x8x6.

Using the Furuno 526TID - LTD20 transducer is straightforward. First, make sure your hull's deadrise angle is between 16° and 24°. When installing, look for the arrow on the top of the housing and point it towards the keel, no matter if you're installing on the port or starboard. This will give the tilted element the right orientation. For maintenance, keep the transducer clean from dirt and debris. After each use, rinse it with fresh water to prevent salt build - up. Check the connections regularly to ensure they are tight and corrosion - free. Also, be careful not to damage the housing as it's made of bronze. If you notice any issues, such as a change in performance, it's a good idea to have it checked by a professional.
