Product Description

The Garmin DST810 Smart Transducer, model 010 - 11051 - 20, is a game - changer for boaters. It offers a 5 Hz speed output, giving you a visibly smoother speed - through - water report and faster data for better decision - making. With an integrated attitude sensor, it benefits both sailing and power boats by providing heel and trim data. Its wireless connection to Airmar's CAST App brings user - friendly features. You can easily calibrate the DST810 regardless of the onboard instrument brand or model. It allows for basic and advanced heel - compensated speed calibrations, improving speed - through - water outputs across the speed range. The advanced speed calibration feature enables manual speed entries for multiple heel angles and up to 10 speeds, previously only possible with expensive PC software. You can also enable or disable PGN’s and set offset and output rates. This product, along with the CAST App, combines advanced hull data and a simple way to calibrate accurate speed via a wireless device. It changes how boaters handle information for better hull performance. All speed calibrations and NMEA configurations are stored in the sensor, not the displays. Specifications include an acoustic window of urethane, a hull deadrise up to 22°, a depth data update rate of 1X/second, and more.

Using the Garmin DST810 Smart Transducer is easy. First, make sure it's properly installed on your boat according to the instructions. Connect it wirelessly to the Airmar CAST App using Bluetooth Low Energy. Once connected, you can start calibrating the speed through the app. It's simple and intuitive, no matter what instrument you have on board. For heel - compensated speed calibration, follow the prompts in the app. When using, keep in mind that the wireless range is up to 30 feet depending on the mount location. Also, the supply voltage should be between 9 VDC and 16 VDC as per NMEA 2000 standards. To maintain the transducer, keep it clean from dirt and debris. Check the cable regularly for any signs of damage. If you notice any issues with the data accuracy or functionality, refer back to the calibration process or contact customer support.
