Quick Guide (pdf)

Using these Ancor heat shrink ring terminals is easy. First, make sure your wires are the right gauge (12 - 10 AWG). Slip the terminal over the wire end. Then, use a heat source like a heat gun to heat the terminal at 257°F/125°C until it shrinks to 1/3 of its original size. This will form a watertight seal and relieve strain. Be careful when using the heat source to avoid burns. Also, keep in mind the warning about exposure to chemicals. For maintenance, these terminals are tinned for corrosion resistance, but it's a good idea to check them periodically, especially in harsh environments. If you notice any signs of damage, replace the terminals right away.
