Quick Guide (pdf)
Using these Ancor heat shrink ring terminals is easy. First, make sure your wire is the right 12 - 10 gauge size. Slip the terminal over the wire end. Then, use a heat gun to apply heat. The terminal will start to shrink at 257°F/125°C and form a nice, watertight seal. Remember, it shrinks to 1/3 of its original size. When handling, keep in mind the warning about the chemicals. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Store the terminals in a dry place to prevent corrosion. Since they're tinned, they're resistant to corrosion, but it's still good to keep them dry. Also, make sure the operating temperature is between 40°C and 110°C. If you need to, you can check the quick guide (pdf) for more details.
