Quick Guide (pdf)
Using these Ancor heat shrink ring terminals is easy. First, select the appropriate wire with a gauge size of 12 - 10 AWG. Insert the wire into the terminal. Then, use a heat source like a heat gun to apply heat. The terminal will start to shrink at 257°F/125°C and form a tight, watertight seal around the wire. As it shrinks, the built - in heat - activated adhesive will also flow and create an extra - strong bond. When handling, be careful as the terminal will be hot after heating. Also, keep in mind the warning about the chemicals it contains. For long - term use, store the terminals in a cool, dry place. Avoid exposing them to extreme temperatures outside the operating range of 40°C to 110°C. Regularly check the connections for any signs of damage or loosening.
