Product Description

Happy Troller - Large Plate
This large troller is perfect for inboard/outboards and all outboard motors 50 hp and larger. It's a must - have for fishermen who think they've got it all!
It can slow down big motors to that super - slow speed that tantalizes fish. A great invention for troll fishing, the Happy Troller® mounts on the anti - cavitation plate for precise trolling speed control. It also enhances your boat's stability at cruising speed.
It locks in the 'down' position for trolling and the 'up' position for cruising. You can use it year - round in all boating activities, whether in salt or fresh water.

Key Features:

  • Slows troll speed when in the 'down' position
  • Acts as a stabilizer in the 'up' position
  • Keeps bow - light boats stable
  • Smooths the ride in rough water
  • Reduces porpoising and cavitation
  • Made of high - quality stainless steel and marine aluminum with a clear anodized finish
  • Quick 15 - minute installation
  • Comes with stainless steel mounting hardware and installation & operating instructions

Owner's Manual (pdf)

Using the Davis Happy Troller Large Trolling Plate is easy. First, find the anti - cavitation plate on your inboard/outboard or 50hp+ outboard motor. Then, use the provided stainless steel mounting hardware to install the trolling plate in about 15 minutes. When you're trolling, lock the plate in the 'down' position. This will slow down your motor to a fish - attracting slow speed. When you want to cruise, lock it in the 'up' position to act as a stabilizer and enhance your boat's stability. You can use this trolling plate all year in both salt and fresh water. For maintenance, regularly check the mounting hardware to make sure it's tight. Wipe it down after each use to prevent corrosion. If you notice any damage, refer to the owner's manual or contact the manufacturer for help.
