Product Description

CURT's Class 3 ball mount is a step up from Class 1 and 2 mounts. It has a 2" x 2" shank and a high weight capacity, perfect for towing heavy-duty trailers like utility, boat, camper, single-horse livestock, and most RV trailers. As Class 3 trailer hitches are common for pickups and SUVs, this ball mount is an ideal match. This specific ball mount can be used in the drop position for a 6" drop, with a 7,500 lbs gross trailer weight capacity and 750 lbs tongue weight capacity. Flip it, and you get a 4" rise, 6,000 lbs gross trailer weight capacity, and 600 lbs tongue weight capacity. It's 9-1/4" long. CNC-formed and robotically welded, it ensures precision and strength. Mechanically descaled, it has a smooth surface for a long-lasting finish. The durable gloss black powder coat protects against corrosion, scratches, and UV damage. Features include fitting 2" x 2" receiver tube openings, a 1" hole for a trailer ball shank, 4" rise or 6" drop for leveling, a lightweight hollow shank for anti-rattle kits, perfect fit from CNC-forming and welding, powder coat protection, and it's made in the USA. Specifications: 1" ball hole, 6" drop, gloss black powder coat finish, 7,500/750 lb GTW/TW in drop, 6,000/600 lb GTW/TW in rise, Hub Warehouse D01, 9-1/4" length, carbon steel material, Class 3 ball mount type, 2" receiver tube size, 4" rise, limited lifetime warranty (one-year finish, one-year parts). Trailer ball and hitch pin sold separately.

Using this CURT Class 3 ball mount is easy. First, make sure your trailer hitch has a 2" x 2" receiver tube opening as this ball mount fits perfectly into it. Insert the shank into the receiver tube. You can choose to use it in the drop position for a 6" drop when you need it, which gives a gross trailer weight capacity of 7,500 lbs and a tongue weight capacity of 750 lbs. Or, if you need a rise, just flip it to get a 4" rise with a 6,000 lbs gross trailer weight capacity and 600 lbs tongue weight capacity. When attaching the trailer ball, use the 1" hole in the ball mount. Always remember, never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component like your vehicle, hitch, or trailer. For maintenance, the gloss black powder coat finish does a great job protecting the ball mount, but it's still a good idea to clean it regularly with mild soap and water. Check for any signs of damage like scratches or corrosion, especially after long trips or in harsh weather conditions. If you notice any issues, contact CURT for further advice. The ball mount comes with a limited lifetime warranty (one-year finish, one-year parts), so you can have peace of mind while using it. And don't forget, the trailer ball and hitch pin are sold separately, so you'll need to get those too before you start towing.
