Using your Cannon Uni - Troll 10 STX - TS manual downrigger is easy. First, use the universal mounting base to attach it to your boat. It's the same as our electric models, so installation is a breeze. Once it's mounted, you can start fishing. To retrieve your line quickly, use the fast 2:1 retrieval speed. With less cranking effort, you'll get your line back in no time. When it's time to lower your weight and lure, use the One - Hand Clutch Deploy for precise and controlled bait positioning. This feature helps you gradually lower your gear into the strike zone. The enclosed boom end pulley keeps your line from jumping, and the three - digit depth counter helps you know how deep your bait is. Maintenance is important. After each use, rinse the downrigger with fresh water to remove salt and debris. Keep the stainless steel spool clean to prevent corrosion. Store the downrigger in a dry place.
