Product Description

Blue Sea Systems 187-Series 70A Panel-Mount Circuit Breaker

Model: 7041-BSS
This amazing circuit breaker combines switching and circuit protection in one device. It features a clear single-lever operation. With its 'Trip Free' design, it won't stay 'ON' during a fault current. It's waterproof and has recessed mounting holes for a clean look. The large clearance around terminal studs can accept heavy gauge wire lugs, and the robust 5/16 M8 terminals offer high-torque connections. The large lever with vertical/horizontal orientation shows the trip status. It's ignition protected, making it safe for gasoline-powered boats. *Don't use it as a switch when high inrush currents are expected.

Using this Blue Sea circuit breaker is easy. First, make sure you mount it on a panel using the provided mounting holes and #10 (M5) screws. Connect heavy gauge wire lugs to the terminal studs, which can handle a good amount of current. The large lever makes it clear to see the trip status. Just operate the lever to switch it on or off. When it comes to safety, don't use it as a switch where high inrush currents are expected. The breaker is ignition protected, so it's safe for gasoline-powered boats. In terms of maintenance, keep it in a clean and dry place. The waterproof feature helps, but avoid exposing it to extreme conditions. Check the terminal connections regularly to ensure they're tight, and make sure the operating temperature stays between -40° C and 85° C.
