Using this tachometer is quite straightforward. First, find a suitable spot on your dashboard to install it. The hole size you need to drill is 3.375 inches (85mm). Connect the tachometer to +12VDC, ground, and one of the signal sources like the ignition system, alternator, tach signal generator, or magnetic pickup sender. After that, set the switch on the back of the tachometer according to how many pulses are sent per engine revolution. When you start your engine, the tachometer will show the RPM. Keep an eye on the warning lights. If you see a warning for no oil, engine overheat, check engine, or low oil, stop the engine right away and check for problems. For maintenance, since it has a plastic case, it's corrosion - resistant, but it's still a good idea to keep it clean. Wipe it gently with a soft cloth from time to time. Remember, this product can't be returned to where you bought it. If you have any issues, contact the manufacturer directly.
