Product Description

Blue Sea Systems 187-Series 90A Surface-Mount Circuit Breaker

Model: 7143-BSS
This circuit breaker combines switching and circuit protection in one device. It features a clear single-lever operation. The 'Trip Free' design ensures safety during fault current. It's waterproof and has recessed mounting holes for a clean look. The large clearance around terminal studs can accept heavy gauge wire lugs, and the robust 5/16 M8 terminals provide high-torque connections. The large lever with vertical/horizontal orientation shows the trip status. It's ignition protected, safe for gasoline-powered boats and meets SAE J1171 requirements.
* Don't use it as a switch for high inrush currents.

Using this Blue Sea circuit breaker is easy. Just mount it on a flat surface using #10 (M5) screws through the recessed holes. Connect heavy gauge wire lugs to the terminal studs with 75 in-lb (8.47 Nm) of torque. The lever shows the status: when it's up, the circuit is on; when it trips, it moves to indicate a fault. Remember, don't use it as a switch for high inrush currents. Keep it in an environment between -40°C and 85°C. It's waterproof, but avoid long - term submersion. Check the terminals regularly for tightness and look for any signs of overheating or damage. If it trips, first find and fix the fault before resetting the breaker manually.
