Using the Fortress FX-7 Anchoring System is easy. First, attach the 1/4 shackle to the FX-7 Anchor. Then connect the 250-ft of 3/8 rope to the shackle and the 15-ft of 1/4 G30 chain to the other end of the rope. When you're ready to anchor, drop the anchor overboard and let out enough rope and chain. Make sure to check the water depth and conditions before anchoring. As for maintenance, after each use, rinse the anchor, rope, and chain with fresh water to remove salt and debris. Store the system in a dry place to prevent rust and damage. Avoid using the system in extremely rough or rocky conditions to prolong its lifespan.
