The Furuno DRS6ANXT is a cutting - edge solid - state Doppler radar with a Target Analyzer and Fast Target Tracking. Model DRS6ANXT offers amazing features. It uses solid - state pulse compression Doppler technology. The revolutionary Target Analyzer™ can quickly spot hazardous targets. The Fast Target Tracking™ and Auto Target Acquire functions can handle up to 100 targets. RezBoost™ technology sharpens the beam, enhancing resolution. The Bird Mode helps you find great fishing spots by tracking birds. This radar is a big step in radar evolution. It combines Doppler tech, pulse compression, Target Analyzer™, and Fast Target Tracking™. With Furuno's exclusive RezBoost™, it packs the power of a large radar into a compact design. The Target Analyzer™ is a world - first feature. It changes the color of approaching targets. Green for stationary or moving - away targets, red for approaching ones. It works regardless of vessel speed, improving safety and awareness. Once a target is selected, speed and course vectors show up in seconds. Doppler tech automatically displays target vectors and sounds an alarm for approaching vessels. With RezBoost™ set to MAX, it can achieve a 2 - degree beam width sharpness. Specifications: Antenna sizes (sold separately) are 3.5, 4, or 6 feet. It operates on the X - band, uses 12 - 24vDC power, has a 72nm range, an open - array antenna type. Beam widths vary by antenna size: 2.3 degrees for 3.5', 1.9 degrees for 4', and 1.4 degrees for 6'. Power output is 25 watts.
Using the Furuno DRS6ANXT radar is quite straightforward. First, make sure you connect the power supply correctly. It works with 12 - 24vDC, so check your boat's power system matches. The pedestal cable is sold separately, so install it properly. Once powered on, the radar will start scanning. Use the controls to set up features like Target Analyzer™ and Fast Target Tracking™. The Target Analyzer™ will show you if other vessels are approaching or moving away just by the color of the targets. When you see a red target, be extra cautious. For fishing, switch to Bird Mode to track birds and find good fishing spots. As for maintenance, keep the antenna clean from dirt and debris. Check the cables regularly for any signs of wear or damage. If you have any issues, refer to the user manual or contact Furuno's customer service. Also, remember that the antenna size you choose affects the beam width and performance, so pick the one that suits your needs best.
