Product Description
The Furuno DRS12ANXT Doppler Radar Pedestal, without antenna and cable, is a 100 - watt solid - state radar. It comes with a Target Analyzer and Fast Target Tracking. With Furuno's exclusive RezBoost™ technology for beam sharpening, set to MAX, it can achieve the sharpness of a much larger open - array antenna. The enhanced Bird Mode in the DRS - NXT series helps you spot schools of fish by showing birds gathering on the sea surface, and it automatically adjusts gain and sea settings for great visibility. The Furuno NXT Radar represents the next step in radar evolution. It's a solid - state radar using pulse compression, Doppler technology with Target Analyzer™ and Fast Target Tracking™. The Target Analyzer™, a world - first Furuno exclusive, changes the color of approaching targets to red, while stationary or moving - away targets are green, enhancing safety and situational awareness. Fast Target Tracking quickly shows speed and course vectors for selected targets. With Doppler tech, approaching vessels display a target vector and sound an alarm. Note: This product can't be returned to the point of purchase. Contact the manufacturer for issues.
Using the Furuno DRS12ANXT Doppler Radar Pedestal is straightforward. First, make sure you have all the necessary connections set up correctly, even though the cable and antenna aren't included. When you start using it, take advantage of the Target Analyzer function. If you see a red target on the screen, it means a vessel is approaching your ship, which helps you stay safe on the water. For spotting schools of fish, switch to the Bird Mode. It will automatically adjust the settings so you can see where the birds are gathering, which usually means there are fish below. When it comes to Fast Target Tracking, once you select a target, just wait a few seconds, and you'll see the speed and course vector. As for maintenance, keep the pedestal clean and dry. Check the connections regularly to ensure they are tight. If you run into any problems, don't return it to where you bought it. Instead, reach out to the manufacturer directly for help.
