The new TruEcho CHIRP-enabled network sounder DFF1-UHD, designed to work with a broadband transducer across a wide frequency range, offers remarkable improvements in signal clarity and target definition. It can clearly show individual game fish and bait fish, even when they're closely grouped or near the sea floor.

Benefits of CHIRP Sounders:
Regular non-CHIRP fish finders operate at one or two frequencies and can only detect and display targets within those narrow bands. CHIRP fish finders, like the DFF1-UHD, send pulses across a wide frequency range. This allows Furuno's advanced digital signal processing (DSP) to show fish and structures with amazing clarity, accuracy, and resolution.

Typical non-CHIRP fish finders have a maximum duty cycle of 1%, which means they send voltage to the transducer only 1% of the time. So, the transmit pulse has high power but short duration, limiting the energy sent into the water. The DFF1-UHD uses a precise sweep pattern across 90 frequencies (50 kHz +/- 20 kHz, 200 kHz +/- 25 kHz) during a long transmission. It sends 10 to 1,000 times more sound energy into the water than a regular fish finder, resulting in more energy hitting the target. Once powered on, it'll start working across a wide range of frequencies to give you clear views of fish and structures underwater. When you're out on the water, let it run and watch the display for fish and other targets. Just keep in mind, this product can't be returned to the place you bought it.
