Product Description

The Furuno DST-810 is an active bronze thru-hull transducer that measures depth, speed, and temperature at 235 kHz. Model DST-810MSF offers a 5 Hz speed output for smoother speed reporting and faster data for better decisions. It has an integrated attitude sensor for heel and trim, benefiting both sailing and power boats. The advanced speed calibration allows manual speed entries for multiple heel angles and up to 10 speeds, without the need for expensive PC software. It stores configurations and sends data to the NMEA 2000 network. You can get depth, heel-corrected speed, heel and trim, and water temperature from one installed multisensor. It's a popular choice for shallow water performance. Specifications include a urethane acoustic window, hull deadrise up to 22°, depth update rate of 1X/second, speed update rate of 5X/second, and more. The box includes a DST-810 insert and a bronze housing.

Using the Furuno DST810MSF transducer is quite straightforward. First, install it on your boat following the installation guide provided. Make sure it's properly mounted within the recommended hull deadrise angle of up to 22°. Once installed, connect it to the NMEA 2000 network using the provided cable. The transducer will start collecting data such as depth, speed, and temperature. For the best speed readings, take advantage of the advanced speed calibration feature. You can manually enter speed data for different heel angles and up to 10 speeds. When it comes to maintenance, keep the acoustic window clean. You can use a soft cloth to wipe it gently. Also, check the cable regularly for any signs of damage. Ensure the supply voltage stays within the 9 - 16 VDC range as specified by NMEA 2000. If you're using the wireless feature, make sure the Bluetooth Low Energy connection is stable and the device is within the 30 - foot range depending on the mount location. Remember, the temperature sensor has an accuracy of +/- 0.5°C and works within the - 10°C to 40°C range. Avoid exposing the transducer to extreme temperatures outside this range to ensure accurate readings.
