Using this adhesive lined heat shrink tubing is easy. First, select the right size for your wire. This tubing is suitable for 12 - 8 AWG wires. Slide the tubing over the wire you want to cover. Then, use a heat source to heat the tubing. It will start to shrink at 257°F / 125°C. As it shrinks, the heat - activated adhesive lining will seal the wire, protecting it from salt water, oil, acids, and sunlight. Make sure to heat the tubing evenly to get a good seal. When handling this product, be aware that it can expose you to chemicals like di(2 - ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP). For more information, check P65Warnings.ca.gov. To maintain the tubing, keep it in a cool and dry place. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures outside its operating range of -40°C to 110°C. This will help the tubing stay in good condition and work effectively when you need it.
