Using your Faria tachometer is easy. First, find a suitable spot on your boat's dashboard for installation. Make sure the hole size is 3.375 inches (85mm) to fit the tachometer properly. Connect the tachometer to +12VDC and ground. Then, choose one of the signal sources - ignition system, alternator, tach signal generator, or magnetic pickup sender - and hook it up. Select the right tachometer for your engine and set the switch on the back to the correct position so it can accurately measure the pulses per engine revolution. When it comes to maintenance, keep the anti-scratch glass lens clean with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals as they might damage the lens or the other components. If you have any issues or concerns, don't return it to the place of purchase. Instead, contact the manufacturer directly. Also, note that the gauge cover is not included, so you'll need to take extra care to protect the tachometer from dust and debris.
