Using this rain collector is easy. First, decide if you'll install it separately or as part of an EnviroMonitor system. If replacing the rain collector in your Vantage Pro2 sensor suite, follow the mounting instructions carefully. Make sure to connect the 40 - foot cable properly. You can calibrate the rain collector yourself for 0.01″ or 0.2 mm, or choose the factory - calibrated 0.2 mm option. When installing, ensure it's in a location where it can collect rain effectively and where it can be separated from the temperature/humidity sensor if needed. For maintenance, regularly check the debris screen and clean it if it gets clogged. Also, inspect the bird spikes to make sure they're in place. Remember, this rain collector requires either an EnviroMonitor Node and Gateway or a Vantage Pro2 sensor suite along with a receiver or console.
