It accurately measures solar radiation, and is essential for evapotranspiration monitoring when used with an anemometer and a temperature/humidity sensor. The diffuser and housing are precisely designed for accurate cosine response. The silicon photo diode closely matches the solar spectrum. The two - piece housing reduces radiation heating, enables convection cooling, and keeps out water and dust. It comes with a built - in level and a 2' (0.6M) cable.
