The Watermark® soil moisture sensor is a great tool for Vantage Pro® and Vantage Pro2™ users. It measures soil moisture by electrical resistance. You don't need to do any periodic maintenance during the growing season. Just bury it at the depth you want and keep an eye on the moisture levels all season. You can connect up to 4 sensors to a single Leaf & Soil Moisture/Temperature Station. It comes with a 15' (4.6M) cable. Using this soil moisture sensor is easy. First, decide on the depth where you want to measure the soil moisture and bury the sensor there. You can add up to 4 sensors to a single Leaf & Soil Moisture/Temperature Station for more comprehensive monitoring. During the growing season, you don't have to worry about regular maintenance. Just check the moisture levels throughout the season. Remember, it must be connected via a Leaf & Soil Moisture/Temperature Station (#6345) to work with Vantage Pro and Vantage Pro2.
