Product Description

This package includes 5 pieces of red heat shrink tubing. Each tube is 6 inches (15.2 cm) long with a 1/2 - inch (12.7 mm) diameter that shrinks down to 5/32 inch (4 mm). Key features: The cross - linked polyolefin tubing is stronger than PVC and won't burn like PVC. Its heat - activated adhesive lining offers a tight seal against salt water, oil, acids, and sunlight, and also provides strain relief. It has a high shrink ratio, shrinking to 1/3 of its original size. It starts to shrink at 257°F (125°C) and can operate within a temperature range of - 40°C to 110°C. It's UL 224 compliant. Warning: This product may expose you to chemicals like di(2 - ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP), which is known in California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. Check P65Warnings.ca.gov for more info. Specifications: Type is heat shrink. Box dimensions are 1'H x 3'W x 8'L and it weighs 0.25 lbs. UPC is 091887974010.

Using this heat shrink tubing is easy. First, select the appropriate tube according to your needs. Make sure to clean the area where you'll use the tubing to ensure a good fit. Slide the tube over the object you want to cover. Then, use a heat source like a heat gun to heat the tubing evenly. Keep the heat gun moving to avoid overheating in one spot. The tubing will start to shrink once it reaches 257°F (125°C). As it shrinks, the adhesive lining will create a seal. When using this product, be aware of the warning about the chemicals it may contain. Avoid contact with skin and eyes as much as possible. For maintenance, store the tubing in a cool, dry place. Don't expose it to extreme temperatures outside the operating range of - 40°C to 110°C, as this could affect its performance.
