Using this cable clamp is easy. First, find a spot above the waterline on your deck. Since the rubber seals are pre - drilled and slit, you can quickly insert the cables and connectors up to the maximum diameter (0.31 inches for cables and 0.68 inches for connectors). Then, use the included stainless steel fasteners to attach it to the deck through the mounting holes that accept #6 x 7/8' screws. The polished stainless steel dress cap not only looks good with other deck hardware but also protects from UV rays. Just place it over the mounting hardware. Remember, this product is for use above the waterline only. Also, be aware of the warning about the chemicals it can expose you to. For maintenance, check the UV - stabilized thermoplastic ring and Buna - N rubber seal regularly for any signs of wear. If they start to show damage, it might be time to replace them. Keep the stainless steel parts clean to maintain their shine and functionality.
