Product Description

Get this 4-pack of black Adhesive Lined Heat Shrink Tubing (ALT). Each section is 12 feet (30.5cm) long with a 3/4-inch (19mm) diameter that shrinks to 1/4-inch (6.4mm). It's suitable for wire range 8 - 2/0 AWG. The cross-linked polyolefin tubing is stronger than PVC and won't burn. The heat-activated adhesive lining seals out salt water, oil, acids, and sunlight, and relieves strain. It has a high shrink ratio, shrinking to 1/3 of its original size at 257°F / 125°C. The operating temperature ranges from -40°C to 110°C and it's UL 224 certified. Warning: This product can expose you to chemicals like di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (dehp) known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm in California. See P65Warnings.ca.gov for more info. Specifications: Type - Heat Shrink, Box Dimensions - 2'H x 4'W x 15'L, Weight - 0.2 lbs, UPC - 091887305661.

Using this heat shrink tubing is easy. First, choose the right size for your wire within the 8 - 2/0 AWG range. Slide the tubing over the wire where you need protection. Then, use a heat source to heat the tubing until it reaches 257°F / 125°C. As it heats, the tubing will shrink to 1/3 of its original size and the adhesive lining will activate, creating a seal. Remember, this tubing is made of cross - linked polyolefin, so it's stronger than PVC and won't burn. But be careful, as this product can expose you to harmful chemicals. Check P65Warnings.ca.gov for more details. For maintenance, keep the tubing in a cool and dry place within the operating temperature range of -40°C to 110°C.
