Using this heat shrink tubing is easy. First, pick the right color tube for your needs, either black or red. Slide the tube onto the wire you want to protect. Make sure the wire gauge is between 8 and 2/0 AWG. Then, use a heat source like a heat gun to heat the tube. The tube will start to shrink once it reaches 257°F (125°C).
